ALL NEW CUSTOMERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE OUR PRE-PURCHASE QUESTIONNAIRE PRIOR TO PURCHASE OR WAIT LIST RESERVATION
No deposit is required to reserve a kid from a specific breeding. Reservations for kids are taken on a first come, first served basis. To reserve a kid, send an email to [email protected], or call or text 765-337-4348. Be sure to include the dam/sire names and the sex of the kid you are reserving. You will be notified of your position in the reservations, and again when your reservation has been filled. The earliest reservation has the first right of refusal. If refused, the reservation moves to the next person, and so forth. You have 24 hours to decide whether or not you want the kid(s). If no response is received within 24 hours, the reservation moves to the next person. If a kid from the desired breeding is not available, you will also be notified that your reservation cannot be filled at this time.
If you agree to purchase a kid verbally or in writing, 50% deposit is required within one week of this agreement. This deposit will hold the kid until the agreed upon pick-up date. We accept credit cards, Paypal, cash, or checks for deposits. Once the deposit has been made, it is non-refundable but it is transferable to another animal. The balance on the kid is due no later than the day of pickup. Sorry, we currently do not ship kids, but we can recommend a transporter upon request.
Adult animals may be reserved for 50% down as well. Once the deposit has been made, it is non-refundable but it is transferable to another animal. After the deposit has been received, adult animals should be picked up within 30 days with the balance due at pick up. After 30 days, a $5 per day boarding fee will be added to the balance of each animal on hold.
If you have animals (kids or adults) on deposit, you have not arranged pick-up, and attempts to contact you to arrange pick-up have been unsuccessful for 30 days, you forfeit all deposits and the rights to purchase the animal(s) on hold.
Twin Willows guarantees the health of the animals until they leave our farm, and we make no guarantee of health once they leave our facilities. All animals will be disbudded, tattooed, and receive hoof care before leaving the farm. Wethers are not automatically tattooed, but will be tattooed upon request. We do not currently vaccinate our animals, but we will, upon request, at no additional charge.
Kids can go to their new homes when they are weaned, generally at ten (10) to twelve (12) weeks of age. Wethers are banded NO SOONER THAN TWELVE WEEKS of age or 15# body weight. Bottle babies will ONLY be sold to experienced farms, and NEVER younger than two weeks of age. Bottle baby wethers are available at a reduced price. We will band them when they are ready at no additional charge. Should you choose to have them castrated on your own, you agree to abide by the 12 weeks/15# rule.
Goats are herd animals. WE DO NOT SELL SINGLE ANIMALS. All goats sold MUST have a companion to live with at their new home.
We reserve the right to name all animals born on our farm. This is how we track where our animals end up. Animals that will be registered are sold either with the original registration paper, or with an application for their ADGA registration. For animals that are sold as unregistered, an ADGA Certificate of Identification application a may be requested by the buyer for no additional charge. Animals who are issued a Certificate of Identification is to be used for identification purposes only and states that no pedigree is kept or implied. Transfer fees are the responsibility of the new owner.
At any time in the future, should you decide to sell a breeding animal (buck or doe) that you have purchased from Twin Willows, we ask for first right of refusal on the animal being sold. This means that we kindly ask you to tell us first before offering for sale to another person, so that we have the option to purchase the animal and bring him/her back into our herd.
The sale is not the end of the relationship, but the beginning. We believe in maintaining contact with our customers. That is why we are available ANYTIME to answer questions regarding goat care.
