I have added a page to republish and archive past tutorial blogs. They can be found under "How To" Tutorials button in the main menu.

Long time visitors might remember that I have, in the past, incorporated a series of "How To" tutorials regarding caprine care and maintenance tasks. Recently, we bought a microscope and supplies so that we could run our own fecal exams on our goats. The process is used to examine the feces of goats for worm eggs and bacteria, determine worm loads, and choose the proper treatment for the animals. I will be working on putting together a tutorial on how to collect the sample, prepare it for the microscope and techniques for examination of the fecal sample. I will also be working on a tutorial about FAMACHA testing. If you missed our other "How to" series of blogs, including How to Handmilk, How to Trim Hooves, How to Tattoo, etc., you can use the SEARCH function in the upper right corner of this webpage to search for the series. |
