It has taken me quite awhile to make this official post. I needed time to process, and it just hurt too much to talk about. It still hurts so badly I get choked up just thinking about it.
I am still confused as to what exactly went wrong, but the fact remains that I have lost my first doe due to kidding complications. On January 4th, GCH J-Nels DH L'il Red went into labor and delivered triplets (1D, 2B) that were all stillborn. In the process of passing her deceased kids, Red suffered a tear in her uterus, and she passed away at 2:37 am the following morning on January 5th. Red was not here for very long. I only bought her back in September 17, and the loss for our herd is unimaginable, made even worse by the fact that her sweet, perfect babies were all stillborn.
