CONGRATULATIONS to Beth Wood, of Fort Wayne, Indiana for suggesting Babbo Natale, which is the Italian phrase for Santa Clause. The family narrowed this name down from over SIXTY entries. For a buckling born on Christmas Eve, we think the name is just perfect. Beth wins her choice of any two scented Goat Milk soaps from Twin Willows. Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest. We had many, many great names to choose from, and it was a really fun experience to choose a winner!
From all of us to all of you, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! Early this Christmas Eve morning, Twin Willows SB American Honey kidded with two beautiful bucks out of Helmstead Minis FF Scorch! The first (black with white and moonspots) weighed 3.8 lbs at birth. The second (chamoisee with moonspots) weighed 3.0 lbs at birth. Both were searching for milk before they even stood up! Honey is a great momma, and all are happy and healthy. These two will be available as unregistered bucks or wethers. Names will be announced soon (as well as the winner(s) of the baby naming contest! From everyone at Twin Willows Farm, we hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas! The last pic (Day 146) was taken this morning and she is still pre-fresh. Click on the pic to enlarge. 
 Today is day 145 for Twin Willows SB American Honey. She is bred to Helmstead Minis FF Scorch. Her ligs are BARELY hanging on this morning. No signs of labor yet, but she will be checked throughout the day. Will it be today? Tomorrow? We are so excited because this is our FIRST Twin Willows born and bred doe to kid at the farm. Stay tuned for updates!

I wanted to publish the entries we have gotten so far in our Christmas baby naming contest to provide some more inspiration, and also just because it's FUN! I deleted the names that did not follow the rules of the contest, and some names were submitted by more than one person.
