Our final doe show of the season is quickly upon us. We will be busy this week shaving goats, trimming hooves, and of course, milking like mad. Our ladies are looking very shaggy since they have not been shown for a month, but I'm glad I waited because it's much more dramatic when you wait to see the results after shaving. I think everyone is excited for this last big hurrah of the season. I am most excited that Tator Tot will be making her debut as a senior doe. Following this show, all of the does will be dried up to prepare for breeding in Oct/Nov. If you have not browsed the kidding schedule yet, head on over and take a look. We have some great pairings for Spring planned, and reservations for kids are now open.
If you are in or around the Evansville, Indiana area next weekend (July 28), come see us! We will be at the Vanderburg County Fairgrounds for the Open Class Dairy Goat Show all day. Hope to see you there!
