We have lots of things happening, and lots of things to look forward to here. The little orphaned fawn, which the children have fondly named Bambi, is doing VERY well. He is starting to eat some vegetables and fruit and we have been filling his corner feeder with yummy clover from our pasture. He is taking the bottle easily, eating well, and improving every day. We have been trying to get him into the yard a little, but he is still too wild to walk on a leash, and just loves the comfort of his cozy pen.
We are expecting a litter of black Satin rabbits sometime this coming weekend. Our doe, Beyonce, is due to deliver July 3rd. We can feel the little bunnies kicking their momma's tummy. The kids are excited to discover how many kits Beyonce will deliver. Ethan says he can't wait until she "lays her bunnies."
Our Nigerian Dwarf goats, Topper and Trixie, will be coming home to us VERY SOON! Since we finished the paddock, we only have to install the live scare wire inside the fence, and the pasture will be ready for them. Brandon and Larry will be working to get this done today.
Hope to get the site updated with pics very soon!
